Katherine Porterfield

Katherine Porterfield, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at Women’s Pelvic Surgery of North Jersey, where she works closely with the physicians to provide comprehensive care for women with pelvic health conditions. She plays an integral role in both the surgical and clinical setting, assisting in advanced pelvic and gynecologic procedures and evaluating patients in the office. She is dedicated to guiding patients through every stage of care, from initial evaluation and diagnosis to treatment planning and recovery.

Katherine earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Saint Elizabeth University. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she worked as a medical assistant in a gynecology practice, where she developed a strong foundation in women’s health and routine gynecologic care. Her interest in gynecology and surgery continued to grow throughout her training, including hands-on experience during her OB/GYN clinical rotation, where she assisted in a variety of surgical procedures. She later expanded her surgical experience as a Physician Assistant assisting with specialized gynecologic aesthetic procedures.

She works closely with patients experiencing complex pelvic health concerns, ensuring they feel heard, informed, and supported throughout their care. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, continuity of care, and helping patients feel confident in their treatment journey.

Fun fact: She’s an avid moviegoer who rarely misses a new release—she and her boyfriend are AMC Stubs members and make it a point to catch a movie almost every week.
